So, I was wondering what competitions would you all like to have? They will be randomized and photos will be required, but not judged. This is to help showcase your horses for several reasons and we love to see horses here! That being said, I know the basic shows will be Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing, and Western Pleasure. Are there any specific shows? I would like to have a Driving show, because many of my horses participate in driving because their breeds are best for it. Post below any shows you would like to see me host. all ideas and suggestions will be considered.

I second Driving competitions. Maybe we could add Liberty or Endurance Racing to the list? My sister and I have a few gaited horses and plan on having cross-breeds and foals of these horses as such gaited horses are not known to compete well in the four basic sports you have listed but I would still like the opportunity for them to compete.

All the shows that I have ever been to had multiple classes at the same show. The last one I attended had English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, liberty minis, a driving class that had full size horses and ponies in the same class. I believe there was a gaited class but it was only foxtrotters. Children's classes. Don't guess we can do those.
For my horses I would like Western and English pleasure, trail, driving, 3 gaited, and show jumping. My sister keeps talking about joining. She has Saddlebreds and TWHs. She might get her booty signed up if she knew there would be gaited classes. Oh, Parade classes! Chloe has a stallion that loves to prance around in gaudy parade gear. Ponies can compete in those too against any size horse.
Is it only performance classes? What about halter classes?
I have ponies that could compete in liberty classes. Or in children's classes if those were possible. Are photo entries usually posed or in game action shots? I am abysmal at getting my sims posed on a horse.

They are typically posed. I really only comprehended about 1/5 of your post Kat, lol. Im pretty tired at the moment. I'm going to seperate them in classes so that those in the same playing field will not be at disadvantages. So no ponies against Warmbloods. I think I will divide them by hieght variations. I'm normally only hosting randomized shows that have all horses competing against each other in different levels, so if you have an idea of how I should set them up it would help. I can't think at the moment and have to be up in a few hours to go to work. I should be on tomorrow after work and I can catch up then. Also, I cannot guarantee a show just for gaited, because I do not have many gated horses registered. Also, horses will have to be registered to be shown, no exceptions.

My only experience with horse shows is real life shows, which generally have classes in everything that the area horsemen are interested in.
Reading admin's Show Guide it looks like her idea of a show is what I would consider a class. One type of performance only. And classes are edited and unedited and divided by age/experience. Totally confusing for me. She does mention halter classes though.
I know you are wanting to encourage people to get their horses registered but currently only mine and Sapphire's are. Yours aren't even registered yet.
You said not many gaited horses registered, but all horses are 3 gaited. They don't have to have special gaits to participate in that. (I was just at the Arabian Horse Association page reading class descriptions. They apparently don't have 3 gaited classes anymore. Perhaps that is what they now call Park)
Suggestion: What about recommending a particular arena to download so that everyone who participates in a show has the same background. Would make it look more like everyone is at the same place.

Haha, yes, I did forget we had some gaited breeds. Yes, my horses are not registered, but my reasoning for that is: I don't want to have all my 99 horses registered without someone in authority viewing my horses to make sure they fit the quota and requirements. I want equal treatment when it comes to showing, registering, and all others that would require an admins approval. I don't want to be able to bypass things just because I have authority. So, I was planning on entering my horses, but I do not think I will. Also, arenas are hard to come by that can be utilized by everyone. Normally they have things in the like CC and other expansion pack items that some members might not have. I will see what I can get together this upcoming week. again, I encourage horses to be registered.
