The guide to a Unicorn
Now we cant just dictate over what the breed standard of a unicorn should be. Since Unicorns are very different and can come in multiple colours but we can add some regulation to them in-order to keep fairness in the forum to those who have horses that have to fit a breed standard. Unicorns however do have "magical powers" but they must never use them in standard shows, nor must they be a superiour equine in traditional horse shows, they can be disqualified in shows for not wearing the correct tack or participating and following the rules of the show. In show jumping, racing, cross country etc... Unicorns must perform like a "normal" horse. Any sign that a unicorn is shown "flying" over a jump or using a "power to create speed not of the norm" will be disqualified.
Arabian Unicorns: Breed standard.
Arabian Unicorns have a dished face, slender like body and can be any strain of Arabian but they must represent the Horn if they are 100% Unicorn blood. They stand between 14.2 - 16.0Hh. They have only a single horn. There is no beard in the Arabian Unicorns and a lions tail must not be present nor must there be any sign of cloven hooves. Any sign of cloven hoovs, lions tail or beard will only be accepted IF it occurs in the Males of the breed. Their coat colors can be any solid natural color. Tiger striping, spots or unique patterns is accepted.
Any Part-Arabian Unicorns can have pinto like coats and they can represent double horns.
Warmblood Unicorns: Breed standard.
Warmblood Unicorns may be of any warmblood build. They must represent a conformation of a typical warmblood. They can stand between 14.2 - 17.2Hh. They can either have a single OR Double horn. Cloven hooves, lion tails and beards can be seen in the breed. Coat colors can be of any natural solid color. Tiger striping is not present. However unusual dapples can occur.
This is all a major WIP. But if any member would love to participate in the Unicorn/s Breed standard and/or create their own please let us know below OR PM and Admin or Moderator. Thankyou!
